Last week, Scanna exhibited at the ISE2024 security exhibition in London. There was substantial interest in our new Scansilc 4357 large panel X-ray system, which was nominated for a Security Innovation Award as it has the ability to screen cabin bags in a single x-ray shot. This reduces the time taken to check abandoned bags which are a costly nuisance for airport operators, as well as maintaining radiation use and output to a minimum. This reinforced for us the relevance of portable x-ray technology using pulsed x-ray generators, for clearing abandoned bags within aviation and transport environments.
We also collected more machine learning data for our prototype shoescanner, which automatically scans shoes for explosive threats in seconds and without the need to remove the shoes. A future gamechanger for airport security checkpoints and the passenger experience!
